Terran Orbital
Small satellites are at the center of space industry transformation and Terran Orbital is building what may be the world’s smallest satellites. A leader in defining the future of space exploration, the company is a provider of pico and nano- sized satellites. As demand for large geosynchronous communications satellites falls, companies will need constellations of hundreds or thousands of smaller, less expensive broadband satellites in low and medium Earth orbits. These provide cost-effective end-to-end solutions for enterprises, universities, and government agencies. Terran Orbital plans to match or exceed the bandwidth-carrying capacity of existing full-sized data satellites at half the cost to subscribers. The organization raised $36 million in a Series B investment round from investors including Lockheed Martin, Beach Point Capital managed funds and Goldman Sachs in 2018.
